Foam analyser (FOAMSCAN TECLIS) acheté le 2018-02-01

This automated foam analyser allows to generate liquid foams of user-chosen solutions via gas blowing through a porous disk. The propeties of the foam are controlled by the pore size of the disk, the flow rate of the gas and the total injected gas volume. Once generated, the temporal evolution of the foam is characterised automatically by a combination of conductivity measurements and imaging. The measured foam properties are: the foam height, the bubble size distribution, and the liquid fraction.
