The characterization platform of the ICS is one of the shared instrumentation facility of the Carnot MICA Institut. Its analytical techniques permit to characterize the chemical and physical-chemical properties of macromolecules, colloids and self-assembled systems at the molecular level. The characterization platform has developed a great expertise in multiple detection size exclusion chromatography and in static and dynamic light scattering. Since several years, a replacement and modernization plan of our equipments is in progress thanks to different fundings from the CPER, the University of Strasbourg, the CNRS, â€¦(~ 400 kâ‚¬ of investment during the last five years). The objective of this plan is to maintain the high technological level of the instruments but also to develop the analytical capacity of the platform. The characterization platform is accessible to academic laboratories and industrial partners for research and development projects as well as for routine analyses. The platform has implemented a quality management system since several years. We obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification in July 2006 and its renewal in June 2019.
